Managing Director, Wealth Manager

Connie is responsible for overall client relationships and the group’s investment strategy and execution. Our investment decisions result from a broad research focus using multiple outside resources. We pay particular attention to making strategic asset class decisions, starting with the basic allocation among cash, bonds and stocks. We believe in the strategic use of cash as an investment in certain environments that require a more conservative posture. Maintaining invested capital in difficult markets is a more important goal to us than significantly outperforming in rapidly rising markets, as we believe individual investors ultimately value preservation of their resources in declining markets.

Connie has over thirty years of experience in financial services. For the last twenty-five, her focus has been on individual investors, first at Citibank’s Private Bank, then at Legg Mason and UBS Financial Services, and now at Steward Partners. Prior to that, she was a corporate lender at First Interstate Bank and AmeriTrust Company. She holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

She has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional since 1989. In 2015, she attained the Retirement Income Certified Professional™ designation from The American College. She is a resident of Washington, D.C. and has two children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading books on financial topics, hiking and outdoor activity and yoga.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and CFP® in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete the CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
